About UV protection

Harmful UV rays contribute to the degradation of polycarbonate resins. It can make them brittle and lose colour over time. Custom Glaze has a UV coating that will protect the sheet from UV radiation.

Alsynite can cut your Custom Glaze sheets to any size*

Installation Information

Alsynite One recommends a minimum five degrees roof pitch for Custom Glaze installations. This roofing product is designed to be installed on purlins at a maximum of 1000mm centres. However, if it is being installed in a snow prone area Alsynite One recommends that purlin spans are reduced to a maximum of 600mm centres.

Fasteners: Use Alsynite One branded Class 4, 14g x 65mm fastener with a 32mm Weatherlock. Custom Glaze must be fixed on every crest of every purlin. Pre-drill a 10mm oversize hole to ensure the sheet has room to expand and contract. You will need 6 fasteners per lineal metre.

Flashings: You may need a polycarbonate barge capping (flashing) and a metal back channel flashing, depending on your roof design. Alsynite One stocks both of these.

Foam: Depending on your roof design you might also need Alsynite One Noise Stop Tape and Back Channel Infill Strip. For more information on these visit our accessories page.

NB: Care must be taken when installing Custom Glaze.  Please read the Assembly and Installation Procedures before installation.

Disclaimer: Due to your monitor settings we cannot guarantee that the colour you see on your screen is the exact colour of the product. Please contact us for accurate samples. All photographic images on this page are examples of where to use Laserlite polycarbonate roofing and may not be Custom Glaze specifically. All images are sourced from Bayer Material Science.

Due to its exceptional light transmission and heat reduction properties, Alsynite One primarily stocks Clear and Bronze Tint. Other colours can be ordered, but are subject to availability. Please contact us for more information.

*If you require a sheet length that is not standard, you will need to purchase the next standard length of sheet. For example, if you require a length of 2.3m, you will need to purchase a 2.4m length sheet. Please contact Alsynite One for Warranty Terms and Conditions.
